Meta speaks out after ex-CNN anchor Campbell Brown steps down as head of news in major shake-up for platform
FORMER CNN anchor Campbell Brown is stepping down as the head of news partnerships at Meta after spending nearly seven years with the company.
Brown, 56, distributed a note to staffers revealing that she would be leaving within the next few weeks.

This comes as Meta decided to move away from promoting news on its platform, which includes Facebook and Instagram.
The company is instead focusing its resources on Reels - short video content that is in competition with TikTok.
Brown told her colleagues that she will “remain affiliated with Meta in a new consultant capacity.”
Her team will be transferred to other existing groups that are focused on media and sports partnerships, development, and operations, reported Variety.
